Important Requirements & Safety Attentions
ATTENTION: If you are currently running a 12V system, you will need to disconnect your current transformer and use the Smart Control System.
ATTENTION: We recommend using a licensed electrician for installation.
System Limits: Control System MAX is 100 watts.
NOTE: The Smart Control System must be used in conjunction with our Life-Bulb 1.5 or 10 inch light (12V). This system is NOT compatible with our 120V lights due to the built in 12V transformer.
Step-by-Step Physical Installation
STEP 1: Turn off the circuit breaker providing power to the light. Use a non-contact voltage tester to verify no power is going to the light.
STEP 2: Mount the control box to the wall. NOTE: If the control box is over 50 feet from the Wi-Fi router, an extender may be needed to enhance the signal.
STEP 3: Install the light(s) and run the cable(s) to the surface.
STEP 4: Connect the wires from the 1.5 or 10 inch light to "Line 1" on the control box. For additional lights, connect to the other 12V AC lines.
STEP 5: Connect the 120V line on the control box to the main power source.
- ATTENTION: The control box contains an isolated transformer which does not require a ground. If using a metal junction box, your existing ground wire from the main power source can be grounded to the box itself.
STEP 7: Turn on the circuit breaker and proceed to the “DOWNLOADING THE APP AND SYNCING THE LIGHT” instruction page.
Smart Control System Functions
ENTER BUTTON (Left Hardware Button)
To Activate Sync Mode: Press and hold the ENTER button for approximately 5 seconds. The button will flash blue, indicating you can now connect your device.
To Delete Your Device: Press and hold the ENTER button for approximately 5 seconds until the blue light flashes. You will receive a message stating, "the device has been removed".
To Use the Smartphone App: Press and release the ENTER button to use the Life-Bulb app on your smartphone.
Manual Control Functions
EXIT BUTTON (Right Hardware Button)
To Activate Manual Control: Press and release the EXIT button to activate "manual control" mode.
NOTE: When in the "manual control" mode, the Life-Bulb app will not be active.
To Reactivate the App: Press and release the "ENTER" button once. The control box will click and blink several times. Once this process is complete, the app will become active again.
Manual Color Selection Sequence
To manually change color modes, press the "EXIT" button repeatedly until you reach the number associated with your desired color mode listed below.
IMPORTANT: If the light illuminates at any point during your repeated button presses, you must restart the process. Press the "EXIT" button quickly each time to prevent the light from turning on prematurely.
Example: For BLUE, quickly press the exit button 8 times.
