It cannot add smart features on its own and MUST be used in conjunction with the main Smart Control System hardware (sold separately).

  • LOW VOLTAGE ONLY (12V): This is a low-voltage 12V bulb. It CANNOT be installed directly into a standard 120V line-voltage spa fixture without a transformer box. Connecting this bulb directly to a 120V line will permanently damage the LED circuitry.

Q: Can I buy this bulb to replace a standard bulb and control it with my phone right away? A: No. This bulb requires our dedicated hardware system to process smartphone commands. To control this light via the Life-Bulb mobile app, you must wire it into our central Smart Control System Controller Box (Model LB-S2024-S1).

Q: Can I screw this 12V smart bulb directly into a standard 120V spa housing? A: No. This bulb operates strictly on low-voltage 12V power. If you screw this bulb directly into a standard 120V circuit without routing it through our Smart Control transformer box first, the high-voltage electricity will instantly blow out the internal LED chips.

Q: What base size does this expansion spa bulb use to thread into the housing? A: This smart bulb features a standard, universal E26 screw-in base.
