Smart Control System Incompatibility: Because our signature Life-Bulb Smart Control System features a built-in step-down transformer, this 120V light is NOT compatible with the Smart Control System. Use standard wall switches or Pentair automation instead.

Niche Compatibility: This fixture is designed as a universal replacement for standard large 10-inch inground pool light niches, including Pentair Amerlite, Hayward AstroLite, and similar major brand niches. Please verify your existing niche dimensions before ordering.

Q: Do I need a transformer to install this 120V pool light? A: No. This is a standard 120V line-voltage pool light. It is built to connect directly to your home's 120V pool power line. If your system currently uses a 12V transformer, you will need our 12V model instead.
Is this light compatible with Hayward or Jandy niches? A: Yes. While it integrates perfectly with Pentair automation systems, its universal physical dimensions allow it to slide easily into most standard large 10-inch inground pool light niches, including the Hayward AstroLite series.
Q: How do you change the colors without an automation system? A: You can easily flip your existing pool light wall switch off and back on within 1–2 seconds to cycle through the different color modes and pre-programmed light shows.
